"User-friendly Faith"

Try to think of faith as being user-friendly. When something is said to be user-friendly it means that is easy to use or learn to use. Many gadgets, devices, electronics today are said to be user-friendly. Faith is also user-friendly. It does not require anything more that your belief and your trust in God to have faith. All you have to do is believe. There is nothing complicated about having faith. Either you have faith and believe or you don’t and doubt. Faith and doubt are mutually exclusive just like if you flip a coin, it will either be heads or tails, but not both. Faith does not come with an instruction manual all you have to do is believe.

“What will a man or woman give in exchange for their soul!”

“What does it profit a man to gain the whole world and loses his own soul”
- Matt 16:26

At what price are you willing pay to have a spacious home, fancy cars, big boat, designer clothes, the latest gadgets etc. Material possessions cannot buy you lasting peace and happiness. People are risking their freedom, relationships, their good name for the sake of wealth. People are literally making a deal with the devil in exchange for power, fame, wealth and material acquisitions. It profits one nothing if you sell your soul to the enemy. Things can’t save you, only God can save you. People pay a heavy price to have wealth and material possessions. Our soul is priceless. All the money and gold in the world will never be a fare exchange for your soul. Is there such a thing as an even exchange for your soul?

"Doubt and Fear, the Usual Suspects"

"Doubt and Fear, the Usual Suspects"

People appear confident, self assured, tough as nails, larger than life. They poke their chest out in an outward sign of being more than a conquer, but within lies a frightened, fearful, insecure and doubtful individual. Many are living their lives under the influence of doubt and fear! It is a package deal; you cannot have one with out the other. Our fears unleash our doubts.

In our present age, why are some many people suffering with anxiety, worry, nervousness, depression, phobias, irritability, sleep disorders, panic attacks, eating disorders, and ulcers, the answer is because of doubt and fear? Doubt and fear is the root cause of many mental and physical disorders today. Doubt and fear are the two emotions that have put countless numbers of people in the graveyard prematurely. Surely enough we do a great deal of damage to our deep emotions because we succumb to doubt and fear. Illnesses come about because of a considerable amount of worry, anxiety, doubt and fear. Many are trapped under the weight of their own doubts and fears. The sad commentary is that many have been building their lives on doubt/fear and not on faith and freedom.

Doubt and fear will always be our enemy because it is born of the enemy, but “perfect love casteth out fear”, 1 John 4:18. We need not doubt and we need not fear because the Lord assures us that we can overcome and be victorious in any area of our lives, “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power and of love, and a sound mind” 2 Tim 1:7.

Mustard Seed Size Faith

“And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.”
- Matt 17:20 KJV

Mustard seeds are the small round seeds of various mustard plants. The seeds are usually about 1 or 2 mm in diameter. Mustard seeds may be colored from yellowish white to black. They are important spice in many foods. We can draw a conclusion that a mustard seed is a very small seed indeed.

With so much uncertainty in the world today from the economic downturn, unemployment, political upheaval in Washington, relationship breakdowns, natural disasters the housing bust and war around the world, our hope and faith for better days ahead is being severally tested.

Jesus compares mustard seeds to mountains. He talks about the quantity of faith that it takes to do the impossible which is to remove the mountains in our lives. He says that it only takes a mustard seed amount of faith to move a mountain. Think about it, all it takes is faith the size of a lowly mustard seed to overcome a mountain. Faith says to the mountain, be thou removed and it is removed. You need faith to move any and every mountain. You and I need faith to sustain us like we need air to breath and food for nourishment. Your faith removes mountains. Faith releases the power of God to move you forward.

Sure, there are mountains of every kind that challenge us everyday. Fear, doubt, financial challenges, relationship challenges, health issues are mountains just to name a few.

Whatever mountains you have to cast into the sea, whatever valleys you have to build up, whatever people you have to move out of your way, whatever walls you have to knock down, whatever you have to do just get out of your pit, your faith the size of a mustard seed removes mountains.
